I have never liked pumpkin pie, but LOVE pumpkin cheesecake. Since Brian and my parents love Pumpkin Pie, and this is the time of giving, I decided to make a homemade pumpkin pie adding a (brown sugar) Streusel topping!!! I'll keep you posted on how it tasted!
**[update] My Pumpkin Pie was "the bomb diggity", damn, I asked for seconds on that pie! - HA! even saved some for 'black friday' morning breakfast!** pssst, but I still think pumpkin cheesecake is the BEST!
Next up Turkey Cupcakes courtesy of the Hello Cupcake cookbook!
Mixing the cupcake batter!
Yummy leftover batter!!
Marissa & Sierra helped attached the candy corn to the chocolate/ginger snap cookies, making the turkey feathers!
Marissa didn't want me to be left out on the pictures, so she took a picture of me as I placed the chocolate sprinkles (jimmies) around the edge of each cupcake. I was suppose to use caramel colored jimmies, but because I was too lazy to go to Michael's craft store (Safeway did not have them), I went ahead and used chocolate ones, which my friend Melanie had let me borrow!
Marissa & Sierra took turns placing marshmallows to hold the feather/cookies in place.
Marissa placed a few of the Turkey heads on top of each cupcake.
VOILA - the finished product!
