Marissa's kindergarten class hosted a Mother's Day Tea Party, Friday, May 6th.
That's a picture of me just below, which Marissa drew! So cute - I swear every little thing made my eyes tear-up, so emotional with all the girls do especially when it focuses around the love they have for me (and Brian)!
The children all drew pictures on a paper tablecloth at their assigned seats (which I cut out and brought home with me to display - that of course created a chain reaction at Marissa's table with her friends asking their parents to do the same).
Marissa made me the most beautiful hand print shrinky dink which read 'I love you', and a card designed with paint of her finger prints creating a flower image - LOVED IT!!!
The hand print key chain Marissa made for me, which I added a chain and wear as a necklace. The corsage (paper flower) is so special, which I can wear every Mother's Day.
of course Sierra was also by my side enjoying all the treats which were served to the 'Moms', lemonade-aid and starbucks scones - Marissa said "oh, you need to get some of these at that coffee shop for us to eat at home"....I most likely will find the recipe to make at home.
Me and Marissa - what a special day, my children are so important to me, I LOVE being a mom!!!
Here are videos of the songs sang to all the Mom's:
On Sunday, Mother's Day, I spent the day in Hayward with my mom and sister for lunch and some girl time. When I arrived back at home Brian had fresh cut flowers in a vase, a beautiful set dinner table, sushi and saki!! LOVED my special day!!
