We started our weekend Friday night going to San Francisco w/Verne & Melanie. We had dinner at the Stinking Rose UM UM GARLIC UM! Can't say we've ever spent dinner w/just the four of us - the kids have always been around, so we had the opportunity to let loose and have a blast! Laughter filled our private table along w/a cloud of garlic breath...HA!
We then headed out to Mr. Smiths where Brian's friend held a private Christmas party for all his friends. The Jack 'n Coke's were flowing and we got jiggy with it on the dance floor! We had hoped to convince Verne & Melanie to stay the night - we found a gem in the rough (tenderloins) Nob Hill Hotel - but they decided to head home. Can't wait for another evening out - - you two down??!!

2. HAP, HAP, HAPPIEST CHRISTMAS = FAMILY
Saturday, we headed over to my parents house along w/Mike, Elilah, Sedona, Arabella, & Austin for an annual tree decorating. My sister placed the star on the tree, Sedona & Marissa had a blast helping this year placing ornaments on the lower half, I mainly decorated the middle half while Elilah decorates the top. We watched the Griswold's Christmas movie and the 'men' played domino's and/or cards while drinking many bottles of wine!! GOOD TIMES!!!! I unfortunately forgot my camera therefore you may never see photos - I have faith in Elilah to forward me a few pics to post on the blog.
3. MARISSA SITTING ON SANTA'S LAP = PRICELESS
Sunday, we attended the Frits' 2nd annual very Merry Christmas party. Even though it was a sort of potluck, the Frits' cooked up a feast including a Turkey dinner w/all the traditional trimmings. The Antioch High School Music Masters entertained us w/Christmas carols. We were even lucky enough to have Santa Claus surprise the children as he sat near their enormous Christmas tree handing gifts to each child...MARISSA amazed Brian & I, she at first sat w/a firm grip on my lap watching Santa's every move..and as I am convinced she was more drawn to him because he was seated near a huge red bag of toys..once Santa called her name, Marissa surprisingly left my lap to sit with ole' St. Nick! She was full of smiles and after Santa asked the famous question "What would you like for Christmas" Marissa calmly said "Everything on my list"...Santa had a good laugh. The evening concluded w/an ornament exchange.
