Our countdown calendar began June 22nd with a day at Brentwood Water with my friend Julia (her kids Andrew & Kaitlyn). On July 24th, we had a fun filled day at Small World Park, with me and the girls, Martina and her girls, and Elilah with Austin and Arabella - Sedona was at Girl Scout Camp!
Fishing for Crawdads!
Train ride where Marissa yelled "Mommy, did you see that ladies pants??!!" I said "We all saw it Marissa" LOL - a women and her low ride pants exposing some unflattering plumbers crack!
On June 26th, the girls enjoyed creating Monster Trucks at Lowes' Build and Grow, and more fun at the water park with the Roberts' family. On July 2nd, we were off to our fabulous Truckee family vacation. Once home we enjoyed seeing Despicable Me (super fun movie), and more swimming fun at Brentwood's water park. Then a little speed bump - our Saab broke down the weekend we returned home from Truckee. I guess sitting in the garage for a week pissed the transmission off, therefore leaving me with no vehicle for Marissa's remaining 2 weeks of fun before the first day school.
unfortunately, the first week stranded at home was filled with sadness of Hobie, therefore leaving me unable to put one kid creative idea effectively in place. Instead we just played tons of board games, colored, splashed in the girls kiddie pool and tossed around water balloons!
We also celebrated our good friend Tessa's 3rd birthday on July 18th, where the kids made Pizza, and decorated cupcakes and cookies!
Martina handmade aprons for all the kids, and attached personalized spoons and spatulas - super creative and the girls loved it!!
Tessa and Sierra playing music - the skilled musicians in our family!
A kiss for good luck?!
Best Friends Forever Hugs!
Another week stranded at home equals more playtime w/Barbie's and board games, and more time together, be lazy, and think outside the box for fun. Tuesday was our day at Disneyland, the girls handed me Dora memory cards as their park ride tickets, as I created the Matterhorn ride by shaking the girls inside their kid chairs; the Pirate ride was more intense on the couch cushions as I rattled them and flung them off the couch later splashing water on them; Bugs Life with pretend spiders crawling on them, frogs from the flipping frog game getting thrown at their face, and more water splashing as the stink bugs came inching their way toward them; lastly the Tea Cups as I spun the girls hysterically round and round as they sat in our black office chair. Oh, to be a KID!!!
Marissa showed off a new hairstyle for days when it's just too hot!
Flipping her hair backwards with a headband. TOO CUTE!
