On June 2nd, the last day of school, Marissa said farewell to her kindergarten status, teacher and classmates at her kindergarten Splash Day party!
Here is Marissa with her friend Rylee,

and Ava!

I was thrilled to be a volunteer at one of the many splash stations,
Dry Dry WET (BKA: Duck Duck GOOSE) - with a very wet sponge you tap each person saying Dry as many times until you reach who you want to get wet, thus squeezing the soggy wet sponge over their head and yell WET!

Unfortunately the weather was gloomy - cloudy, rain, and windy, but the kids all made the best of it with lots of smiles and tons of laughter! Here is Marissa at the Ice Cream Sundae station, where you'll also see her wearing a handmade sun visor from a prior station - 12 splash day stations in all!!!

Here Marissa is at the kiddie pool splash station.

A little reluctant at first, but having friends jump and splash makes you quickly forget how cold it really was.

Afterwards, the kids were treated to BBQ hot dogs, chips, drinks and had a picnic style lunch w/their beach towels on the playground. Marissa and many of her friends had a blast on the monkey bars - enjoying their last recess on the kindergarten play ground.

At the 12:00 bell, Marissa and I walked one last time through her classroom, then posed inside her kindergarten cubby.

Here's to a fabulous 1st grade year!!!
