Happy Father's Day!!

On May 25th, Marissa class hosted Donuts with Day, a special celebration to honor dads for father's day - since school would be out for summer vacation during the actual father's day. The class celebrated some good old fashion baseball by wearing their favorite team baseball attire. Marissa served Brian with some cold milk, and warm donuts! Afterwards, the class sang songs in honor of their dad; Too bad little Marissa was in the back row - you can barely see her! Cute song though!!

For the actual Father's Day, our good friends the Roberts' asked us to join them on a 3 day camping trip, which we hope to make a tradition. Melanie found a KOA in Petaluma, not far from home! Here are the girls wishing Brian a Happy Father's Day on one of the many swings located throughout the camping 'resort' HA! On Saturday morning I had the kids paint wood frames and draw a picture of themselves with their dad to gift on Father's Day! Later that afternoon, Brian and Verne celebrated poolside during KOA's father day event, CHEERS! Marissa Sierra and Brian playing in the pool to cool off, but the kids were also loving the spa despite the hot weather! The resort hosted a Father's Day event which included Minute to Win It games, and a hula hoop contest. Here is Sierra attempting to hula.. Her good effort prize was a ladybug tattoo.... I'm loving this new sassy pose from Sierra with a slight knee bent and hand on hip. Marissa's name was chosen to play a Minute to Win It game - TEA BAG! Tea bag paper/strings are clipped onto the hats brim, and you move your head in various direction to try and place the bags onto the top of the brim within 60 seconds. Here's the video - my dumb-ass forgot to rotate the video prior to downloading.. Marissa was unsuccessful, but was given a free Snow Cone prize for her efforts! :)

The camping resort offered many other amenities such as horseshoes, basketball, volleyball, climbing wall, banana bikes, free movie nights, karaoke, petting farm, hayrides, a bounce pillow - Sierra jumping super high and bocce ball which us adults attempted to play one night until it got too dark, but pretty backdrop. then we moved onto a few games of Triominoes and some drinks to keep us warm and giggly - HA! Here is an "I thought I looked good enough to photograph" picture - it's as blurry as we were! One additional activity, was free face paintings, which I took notes on using pre-painted stamps as the template then filling in the center with more paint. Nearby our camp site was a huge playground, here are the girls climbing the rope spider web. Brian cooking up some yummy breakfast bacon cheese and egg sandwiches with our camping pie irons! The kids... Marissa, Sierra, Maile, Mason, Kira, and the dogs Punk & Rocky pose for the farewell campsite photo!
