life is a bowl of cherries...

Feeling bad that I hadn't finished eating the rest of the Cherries my dad had given me, I found a few recipes to make...First, (click to access recipe) Grilled Tilapia with Cherry Salsa DELICIOUS!!!

A few days later I made the meal again, but used Halibut, scrumptious! As a side dish, Brian & I made some chive toast (our creation, after eating something similar at a restaurant) - 4 slices of any bread onto a baking sheet, slather olive oil - which the girls did perfectly, until bickering enough at one another about how much the other was using thus flicking olive oil onto their clothes. You then add chopped chives, and sprinkle with rock salt, broil on high for a few minutes, watching not to burn. Great with any meal! Next, I made Cherry Pie, although it was tasty I prefer Apple Pie! The girls handed me cherries to pit and chop into pieces, which turned my fingers and hands into a deep red color. Both Marissa and Sierra kept worrying that I had cut my finger. The girls also helped crimp the crust edges with a fork, and lace the pie with dough. Unfortunately, I forgot to place the pie on the bottom rack in the oven so it golden more than it should, I just tented it w/foil and it luckily was still yummy, not dry! All this Cheeriness, prompted Brian and I to search our song play list and blare Warrant's "Cherry Pie".
