I go to the outside unit and find some of the wires chewed-up, by our very own lovable sweet couldn't do no wrong, ROCKY! I swear, that dog will eat about anything, and it's not like I ignore him, but apparently the time he is outside, he has decided to chew on the air conditioning wires.
I tried to find some electrical tape, hoping that would resolve the problem, but no luck - of course I found it today, the first place I looked yesterday! While on route to the Philippines Brian responded to my 'losing my mind' email and suggested I call Robert [grandpa] and see if you could remedy the problem...again no luck! But he was able to wrap the wires with the electrical tape, and I did my best to build a barricade so Rocky wont continue to chew the wires.
Of course, something else had to go wrong, Rocky was slipping while running, and his rear-end and tail were wet. I knew he hadn't been in any water, so I was worried he had hurt himself....nope, WORSE - he had the remains of palm tree branches hanging out of his BUTT! Yes, you read correctly, and as much as I was disgusted with the site of the problem, I knew I had to be the one to remove it. Rocky was maybe embarrassed, and kept biting my arm while I tried to pull out the branches, of course it could not easily be removed with one pull, but multiple - Robert being my assistant to hold Rocky down and extract the largest branch - GAG!
Guess I now have an additional job description to add to my resume. By the way, as much as I tried to trouble shoot the air conditioner problem and search youtube, I actually thought I may have found the problem, the Run Start Capacitor, but after speaking with Robert on the phone decided, that the time it would take for me to find the part, replace it ourselves, it may not be the problem...and it wasn't. Apparently in the attic, a blown fuse was the culprit! If only Brian was home he would have loved to save the $120.00 and replace the fuse - C'est la vie!

You can always call Jason if you have a problem like that as well. He is really good at that stuff and would love to help you out. I'm glad you got if figured out though and have AC again!
