Happy and Star of the Week

The week of September 20th Sierra was her class Star of the Week! 

Each day the Star sits in a decorated chair, and  presents something to the class, Monday is there paper t-shirt which details their favorite things to do, eat, wear, play. Tuesday they bring in a jar filled with treats, Wednesday the are awarded with a Star of the Week sticker and certificate, Thursday, Friday.

Sierra just so happened to be the Coyote of the Day on Wednesday. Coyote of Day also sits in a decorated chair and has the privilege of standing first in line at each dismissal, and help the teacher through-out the day. The Coyote of the Day also gets to bring "Happy" (a stuffed animal) along with a bucket which includes a book "fill a bucket" learning the meaning of random acts of kindness.

On Friday the Star of the Week brings Clifford home for the weekend and write in a journal about their time together.

 The weekend just so happened to be Austin's (their cousin) birthday, so Clifford joined us at his party on Saturday afternoon. But unfortunately, Clifford was left behind and had a private sleepover at my sister's house. I had to drive back to Hayward on Sunday to retrieve him and return him to school on Monday morning. Here he is belted safely in the passenger seat.

Just to avoid any cooties before his visit with us we gave Clifford a bath, and a bath prior to returning to school. Clifford had an exciting weekend!
