Stickers, Candy, and Fro-yo

During our girls getaway in Bodega Bay, I had yelped a few places to explore on our drive home, Mrs. Grossmans sticker and paper factory being one, but since Rocky with us we couldn't go - so instead, on July 24th, the girls and I spent the day in Petaluma beginning at Mrs. Grossman's.
The girls and I pose with Mrs. Grossman's bear - his hat is adorned with Mrs. Grossman's first ever sticker HEART design.
Inside the factory, every sticker ever made dated back since 1979 is displayed on the walls.
I hate to age myself, but I have some of the original stickers in my childhood sticker books! :) They're not at all in very good condition, but it sure was fun touring the factory and remembering having these stickers!

Here the girls pose beside rolls and rolls of stickers,
from hundereds of stickers the girls liked the OWLS best!
it was quite overwhelming seeing how many rolls of stickers are printed.
Mrs. Grossman's also has a labeling facility for various wineries.

At the beginning of the tour, and throughout different stations during the tour every guest was given various sheets of stickers and card stock. The factory also had a small store with clearance stickers either no longer in stores or discontinued.
Afterwards, the girls and I drove around downtown Petaluma and ended our day at Powell's sweet shoppe. Candy at every inch of the store, many dated back years with the same old time wrappers. I found so many candies that brought back memories, FLICKS and cigarette gum that my sister and I would buy at a tiny smoke/newspaper/candy store in Oakland just before seeing a movie at the Grand Lake.
The girls had so much fun hearing my stories, and finding new candies to joke about....like these fangs and mustaches!

The store also had a small seating area with actual movie theater seats and a big screen television where they watched Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (the original version!).

A stand with just Wonka chocolate and candies.
Since the shoppe only carried Gellato - which the girls tasted but did not like - WHAT?!, the store directed us to their yogurt shop just across the way.
MoYo's frozen yogurt Lounge - the mo-yo want!
The girls and I loved the mosaic fountain just outside both shops, so I placed my camera on a bench for a girl photo! Awesome day with my two beauties!!
