Today I've been busy baking and decorating Arabella's Jukebox birthday cake for her 50's themed party - Marissa and Sierra helped to mix the batter, brake the eggs, Sierra decided to miss the bowl entirely and pour the 1 1/3 cups of water onto the floor instead. Marissa was great at mixing and pouring the batter into the pan - although for some reason the eggs were a bit tricky, she didn't want any white and/or yolk to touch her fingers - go figure. I handed the mixer blades to the girls and they licked them clean just like a lollipop, Marissa had enough chocolate, not Sierra she practically attacked me for the spatula.
Later, while watching the cartoon, Ni Hao Kai-lan - they were celebrating Chinese New Year - I searched the Nick Jr. site for crafts. We decided to make
Kai-lan's Chinese Rattle Drum - I had no luck finding round boxes in the house, so we opted for square, HA!
The girls enjoyed coloring and adding stickers, we plan on having a princess parade for daddy when he gets home and give him a cupcake which Marissa frosted, Sierra had no intentions of sharing her cupcake w/a blink of an eye she devoured it!
