58 degrees of fun!

The 90 degree weather last weekend, convinced my family to plan "A Day at the Beach" during Memorial Weekend!

Sunday morning we realized the weather was not going to cooperate. However, as planned (along with much hesitation) Brian, the girls and I packed up the truck to meet my parents, Elilah and her family, at San Gregorio State Beach [10 miles south of Half Moon Bay on Highway 1].

During our [drizzling] drive along Cabrillo Highway, we noticed many roadside Barn Farm Stands, one with a train and pony ride (noting to self to make our appearance at the beach, later returning to the fruit/nut stand). As gloomy as the day may have been it was super nice to be with family (and out of the house!), having the girls (cousins) play! Brian and Mike created a well sheltered oasis with a tent and canopy, along side a man made driftwood cave. 6 hours later we realized how time does fly fast when your having fun! I daydreamed most of the day, while the girls chased one another, played frisbee and flew kites. Of course Monday was 10 degrees hotter, and by the feel of the heat we will be returning sooner than we think! :)
