Apparently, in Brentwood 1 out of 50,000 - me being 1.
Unfortunately Brian's work shirt was where he decided to hide, catching glance of me, leaving me no option but to squish the spider between the pocket and sleeve - hearing a pop. I'm hoping he did not reclaim life, for I only saw blood, and no body. I've come to recognize the strength of spiders.
First, weeks prior to Sierra's party I found a spider behind the couch and figured the power of our Dyson would spin it to it's death in a dust bunny frenzy. Brian later told me - probably not.
Second, Finding a spider who endured a cold soapy bath w/numerous spins, yet having the ability to spin a web, and not finding squished remains.
Spiders do love cold damp spaces, but c'mon!

Ewe. Gross. Bugs seem worse that ever this year to me. We just killed a HUGE BLACK WIDOW hanging right next to the baby's high chair! I was hoping the vaccum would kill spiders too. Don't know how many I've "killed" that way... or maybe it's the same ones over and over??
