To avoid a $10.00 surcharge for the upcoming Citizen Cope concert tickets, we decided to spend our Valentine's Day in San Francisco and take advantage of the Fillmore's NO surcharge day on Sunday's between 2-4pm.
After a few Valentine card deliveries, we arrived into the city around 11:30am and strolled around the Fillmore district - window shopped and goofed off in Japan Town.
As we were on our way to a Pub for lunch, Marissa spied a Sushi restaurant and asked to have some sticky rice. Brian and I can never resist Sushi, so we hustled inside before any one changed their minds.
Sierra enjoys the soy beans, popping one after another, after another into her mouth!
A little entertainment from Sierra before lunch was served....
After lunch on our way to the Fillmore, Marissa heard "a band!", and sure enough we found a New Orleans band just around the corner. A woman gave the girls some beads [no flash of the boobs was necessary]. Sierra placed a couple dollars in their tip bucket.
Next on the agenda - Golden Gate park. Of course a ride on the Herschell-Spillman Carousel was a must!
We headed over to the Koret Children’s Quarter Playground, which we had stumbled upon months ago (a prior post Sept. 2009). This next photo is the cement slide the girls were drooling over, but had skirts on during our visit and were scared to slide down risking a serious burn/scratch on the butt!
Butterfly and Sword Balloons!
It was getting late so we rushed over to Ocean beach, and wished we had gone sooner -the weather was so nice and the views and sunset were spectacular!
We ended our evening at Park Chow for dinner! It's really hard to find a kid friendly restaurant when all you know are bars and fancy restaurants from our BK (before kid) years. Luckily, Brian remembered a tasty well known restaurant in the avenue's, which served kid food and WOW was it was packed with families!!!
