December 31, 2001 in Oahu, Hawaii. We snuck into the James Brown, New Year's Eve Party held at the Hilton. Brian proposed on the dance floor. He had been wearing his backpack w/the engagement ring inside for 3 days!

October 4, 2003 at The Rivermill in French Camp, Ca.
Where did you meet your spouse for the first time? I meet Brian during his band [The Signal] show at the 7th Note in San Francisco. I was w/his cousin Miranda and we met-up w/his other cousin Brie, who was celebrating her birthday, and her boyfriend Mike. Unknown to me [us] Brian had invited some girl to the show, so while Miranda and I were screaming Brian's name (who I hadn't yet met) and cheering his band, the 'girl' got annoyed and left the show (LOL). After the show we all hung outside and chatted about getting soup, and having me over to spoon Brian, my response was if I came over to spoon we'd fork! Of course nothing like that happened, we all just agreed to meet again for a beer a few days later (which we did, celebrating Miranda's birthday).

What are some of your favorite activities together?
Going to dinner [and a show] in San Francisco - dressing up!; The beach; or just hanging at home with the girls, especially in the summer time when we can listen to music, bbq and sit back with a glass of wine (or beer)!
Do you have a favorite vacation spot?
Hawaii
When did you first kiss? On our first date in San Francisco. Funny thing is that I had a fat lip [my parents dog accidentally ran into me the night prior to our first date], Brian was very sweet about kissing gently! LOL!!!
What church do you attend? Sad to say we don't, but we plan to either join Immaculate Heart of Mary Church or Golden Hills Community Church. I'm catholic and Brian does not have a religion so it's difficult for me to change, but Brian is more open to the Christian faith.
Did you get married in a church? No. We had an outdoor wedding conducted by Deacon Gerry from The White Robed Monks of St. Benedict (Contemporary Catholic).
Do you work or stay at home: I'm a stay at home mom, but I have my Real Estate license.
Where did you go on your honeymoon.
Italy - 2 wonderful weeks driving to Rome, Venice, Tuscany, Florence, San Remo, Monaco and Pisa!
What was the funniest gift you gave when dating? Not sure, the only thing I can think of is wine glasses I had engraved with our secret names 'Del Murderer' and 'The Mortician'.
How long did you know each other before you started dating? Less than a month.
Which situation was the hardest on you as a couple?
Moving from Antioch to Brentwood. The housing market was crazy, we were stuck w/2 mortgages for 3 months, and I missed our home!
Did you go to the same school? No. I attended school in Oakland, CA.; Brian attended school in Antioch, CA.
Who is smarter? Brian!
Who is more sensitive? ME!
Where do you eat out most as a couple? Okawa (sushi) in Antioch! Most recently when we want to splurge, but stay close to home w/out the kids, Prevot's in Brentwood.
Where is the furthest you two have traveled together as a couple? Italy and Portugal.
What attracted you about him?
Of course his good looks, he is very outgoing, he was [is] as a drummer in a band, and we had a lot of common interests.
Who does the cooking? I'd say 50/50. Brian loves to cook, as do I, sometimes I prep the dinner and Brian makes the meal when he gets home from work - that way I can get the kids food ready so we can enjoy dinner together as a family.
Who is more social? Brian!
Who is the neat-freak? Me!
Who is more stubborn? hum, this is hard - I think we both are.
Who hogs the bed? It depends, in the winter ME, in the summer Brian!
Who wakes up earlier? Brian.
Where was your first date? Brian invited me to his work [Williams-Sonoma] Christmas party held at the Exploratorium at San Francisco's Palace of Fine Arts. Then we had dinner at The Steps of Rome in North Beach.
Who had more boyfriends/girlfriends? That's a good question - I don't know. I had 2 serious relationships prior to Brian. I think Brian also had 2, maybe 3 serious relationship prior to me.
Do you get flowers often? Yes - but only store bought! I hate knowing when flowers are purchased from a florist - such a waste of money!!
How do you spend the holidays? With family. Dividing time equally is hard, but we do our best!
Who is more jealous? I think we both are equally jealous.
How long did it take to get serious? approximately 3 months, and we decided to live together and really test the relationship. Worked out perfectly!
Who eats more? Brian (especially when it comes to dessert).
Who does the laundry? ME :(

Leave a piece of advice for the other couples: Always say "I Love You" along with a kiss just before you go to bed - despite any arguments (I'll kiss his forehead - LOL!)!

How did you sneak into the New Years Party. That is awesome! Did they have good food?
Brittany: We actually had Thai food at a restaurant across the street from the hotel (not sure if the NYE party even offered dinner). I was in the restroom and overheard a converstation about the James Brown's concert. So, afterwards Brian and I walked over to the hotel and while guests were being admitted into the ballroom, Brian and I just snuck behind some people and photographers and voila - we were in! HA!
