Marissa's Birthday celebration started w/me surprising her w/a new purple dress, and getting dolled up for our day of fun! For some reason us girls were running late...hum, go figure! So we hurried to Toysrus for a Geoffrey Birthday Celebration.
Unfortunately Marissa didn't receive her $3.00 Birthday gift card from Toysrus [our postal service employees are soooo bright!], but thankfully a store employee offered the discount anyway being it was Marissa's birthday!
Funny that kids at times are so oblivious of how much a small toy cost. You'd think the smaller the toy the cheaper - hardly the case. I kept directing Marissa toward toys priced around $5.00, but she didn't like any of them...until we found a Polly Pocket Doll - luckily for me priced at $4.99!
Next, we met Katherine and Ayla at Build-a-Bear workshop!
As noted in my previous post, Brian and I decided to give Marissa $20.00 [Apparently, I'm still living in the 80's - it ended up totalling $45.00] to purchase accessories for her dog Cloie.
Marissa and Ayla had a blast taking their dog and bear to the dressing rooms, finding the best outfit for their pet! Marissa had Cloie's pawsport stamped from the Walnut Creek store!
Sierra was so good, never demanding I buy her a pet. She just took pictures of all of us, and the floor, and her face, and would bring me a pre-made pet saying how cute the outfit was.
While we waited for Brian to meet us for lunch, the girls and I had some fun killing time. Marissa and I spied this funny photo board.
And then waited at the broadway plaza fountain across from Nordstrom.
Brian was let out of a conference early so he met us in Walnut Creek for lunch at Tomatina, and we later sat and watched the girls run, dance and play inside a fountain near Il Fornaio! The girls were exhausted afterwards!!
Later that evening, we all skipped dinner and had Ice Cream instead! Marissa and I each had free scoops at Baskin Robbins - YUM!!!
