WHAT? 7 Days at Disneyland - OH YEAH BABY!

Our excuse this time...Marissa's 5th Birthday was just around the corner, and Sierra's entrance fee is still free until she turns 3 years old - oh, and Brian conveniently was planned to attend a 2 day Customs and Trade Partnership against Terrorism seminar near our favorite Embassy Suites Hotel. This time around Brian insisted on us all flying - I wasn't really into wasting $400.00 for the airfare, I never minded the long drive, but it was a good idea and the girls enjoy traveling in an airplane, as opposed to being stuck w/me on a 6 hour car ride! One speed bump...our 6-day hopper tickets were not available at the Disney ticket booth. Some glitch with getaway today and Disneyland's computer system. Thankfully I had my printed confirmation, so for our trouble Disneyland gave us complimentary hopper tickets for the day. SCORE ON 7 DAYS at the park!!! We bought Marissa her first Mickey ears, with the Disney Princess characters, during our first visit to Disneyland in 2008. Since Sierra wasn't really into the hats on that visit, we waited until she began asking and could choose her own style. Sierra's pick, Minnie Mouse ears! OMG Sierra never took this hat off! While we walked up Main Street she kept noticing her (Minnie ear) shadow and would almost trip trying to look at herself.

Disneyland!

Funny thing is that we initially tried purchasing a 7 day hopper pass but getaway today nor Disneyland offers such passes....on our 7th day at the park I began to realize why...you get Disney'd out - who'd have thunk that! Unfortuatly we arrived smack during most spring break vacations, March 13-20. So 7 days of crazy crowds, some unfriendly Disney workers (who were not whistling a happy tune while they worked), and the fact that most of the time our family was split up because Marissa can ride ALL rides (w/the exception of 3: California Screamin', Maliboomer, and Indiana Jones), made for some unthrilling days. I shouldn't complain, every morning our eyes lit up with excitement, and I can honestly say that Saturday morning on our way to the airport I was sadden by the fact that we were not returning to Disneyland - it became a part of life! LOL!!!

Face Painting! The girls were SO excited about getting their face painted!! They wouldn't let me wash their face at bedtime (or in the morning), and I even tried redoing the paint with my eyeshadow.

Disneyland Characters! Sierra's favorite Character(s), Minnie Mouse and Snow White! I thought Sierra was going to faint when she met Snow White! Marissa's favorite Character, Princess Tiana - which I waited in line 45 minutes, solo, while Brian and the girls climbed Tarzan's Treehouse! Marissa was thrilled to be the first in line to meet Princess Tiana!

Sierra was a hit at the Celebrate! A Street Party! Sierra danced with the Characters and played music on hand drums!

I made a promise to myself that we wouldn't return to Disneyland until Sierra is over 40 inches tall, so we can ride ALL rides as a family! Our trip next year, Lego-Land!
