Marissa was super excited to be today's Coyote in her kindergarten class! After the class sings their morning song "Rise and Shine, Welcome to School Today", Mrs. Deans [her teacher] picks a named stick at random choosing the days Coyote. The child goes to the front of the class where Mrs. Deans awards them with a note pined to their clothing which indicates their title.
Marissa assisted Mrs. Deans with today's calendar, and counted the number of days attended in school [11 already]. Marissa's other duties consisted of: Line leader; Opening the door for lunch, recess, and the first to exit the classroom at the end of the day.. Marissa also was in charge of distributing the lunch basket; Collected each classmates classwork; and was allowed to pick her friend Madison [an assistant] to tag along while Marissa took her random classmates lunch money to the cafeteria and; Signed paperwork to the Administration office!
Bummed that Brian is in Thailand on business, and had to miss her enthusiasm after school - hopefully this post will have put a smile on his face!
