ooh, ooh, oh we are so excited about our keys!
sierra found a less congested way back down - thinking more like an animal in the woods rather than a child at the playground.
Sierra may have thought this was one of Japan's extreme obstacle courses - she wouldn't set foot on one lilly pad, even while watching Marissa successfully making it across numerous times w/out stepping onto a trick lilly pad.
Sorry Sierra, wrong reptile - this tortoise wont turn into a prince.
This chimpanzee had a mission swinging across his entire cage to stare down a woman observing his every move - takes one to know one, I guess.
This spider monkey was about as clever as Sierra - posing so cute and once I flash the camera they look away!
Friday, the girls and I headed over to the Oakland Zoo - forget joining a gym this Zoo membership is all I need - hiking those hills pushing 50+ pounds, not only to see animals but to get to the entrance and back to our truck! The other nice perk to having a membership - not stressing on seeing all the animals on one visit. This trip we set our sites on the Rain Forest and African Savannah. Of course the girls always enjoy the playgrounds crawling into the concrete tortoise shells and climbing on top of the concrete frogs - we hadn't noticed the Lilly Pad Hop before or the tunnel slides, which is where we spent most of our time exploring. The weather was unbelievable - hot, hot hot! I love spring, but this is ridiculous!
Learning something new every day: "If it weren't for snakes, our planet would be overrun by disease bearing rodents" - thank goodness for snakes.
The end of our day was spent on the Zoo-riffic train, and animal merry-go-round!
