This year Marissa's Gymnastics Level 2 Class, and Sierra's Mommy & Me Class performed during Black Diamond Kids Center's Spring Olympics, held April 17th.
The girls have attended their classes for over a year and were super excited to showcase all their skills to Brian.
MARISSA!
Marissa was ECSTATIC about performing during the event and has just recently completed level 2 in her age group class which consists of tumbling, bars, balance beam, pre-vaulting and trampoline, and tracks her progress with a “star charts”. Marissa has graduated to Miss Jessica's Level 3 Gymnastics class!! So super proud of her!! Marissa LOVES gymnastics, but was a little interested in ballet when she sat through Sierra's trial class, but once I told her she had to make a choice on one class she quickly choose gymnastics!
SIERRA!
Sierra LOVED tumbling around solo at the event, but is soooo bored in her [lack of participation and inattentive teacher] mommy & me class, where she has learned some basic gymnastics skills, such as tumbling, bars (which are her favorite!), balance beam and trampoline, has recently asked to dance ballet instead! Her teacher Miss Kristi has, upon my request, graduated her to the next level age 3 1/2 - 4 year old class, but by the way Sierra dances around the house, ballet seems perfect at this time. In the meantime she remains enrolled in the hum drum class until mid June, due the the ballet school's current spring recital classes.
At the end of the event, the kids were each given a ribbon of excellence!
Shy girl Marissa lasted a mer second on the platform to accept her ribbon - after seeing the audience of about 50+!
Proud and gleaming Sierra accepting her ribbon - sadly Brian is not the master of photography!
