Zoo time.....

a day at the Oakland Zoo is always fun - I think we saw more animals on this one visit than we have seen during five visits! Here is the Sun Bear. Marissa favorite the Baboons which we found two sitting beside one another picking bugs out of each others fur and eating them. I just can't stand to see their pink lumpy butts, which just so happen to be hairless pads of skin that provide for the sitting comfort of the baboon. The girls love seeing and pretending to be Turtles and leaping with the Lemurs!

Time for a few rides!!! The train ride had a make-over adding a few new animals, the Wallaroos and Emus which stood on the tracks and had a staring contest with the conductor for about 5 minutes, the conductor lost - having to depart the train and direct the Emus off the tracks! We also learned the Zoo Train sign for quiet - the Coyote! If you see the conductor raise the sign of the Coyote - Be Quiet! I think this technique may also work elsewhere - the girls love the idea! The girls cruise on motorcyles, set off on safari, and take flight!
