Fairyland, San Francisco, Small World Park all lumped into one post

On October 14th, Marissa's fall break was slowly coming to an end so we decided to spend the day at Fairyland - love this photo of Marissa and Sierra near this huge dandelion sculpture. Since we were there during October, I took a close-up photo of the spider that sat right beside Little Miss Muffet, to use in a future Halloween photo colleague...well, a while later as we entered the parks musical tunnel we noticed this object on the side of the wall. As I walked closer to the object I noticed it was a spider - the girls were freaking out as I zoomed in on the spider with the camera, thinking it may jump on the lens. Thankfully it didn't but I do want to take this picture to either the Lyndsay wildlife museum, or the Lake Merritt Wildlife Refuge which is nearby Fairyland, and find out what type of spider this is. As always with every visit to Fairyland we leave the park after the 2pm puppet show, this visit the theater entertained us with 'Beauty and the Beast'.

Later that afternoon, we cruised on over the bay bridge to enjoyed dinner with Brian in San Francisco. Since we arrived around 3:30pm, an hour and a half prior to Brian finishing up his work, the girls and I decided to walk around Fisherman's wharf - which they loved! We picked Brian up from work and feasted at our favorite Italian restaurant, Tomasso's. The weather was perfect for an evening walk in North Beach, where we ended our day at the Stella Pastry & Cafe for dessert!

The next day October 15th, while Brian went on a fishing trip w/his step-father Robert [Grandpa], and my brother-in-law Mike, the girls and I met my mom, Arabella and Austin at pittsburg's Small World Park - Elilah and Sedona were at a Girl Scout camping trip. Here the kids goof around with the picture wall cutouts. The kids had a blast fishing (catch and release) for crawdads. The staff at small world provide fishing poles, (when available) string if you're using tree branches, and frozen hot dogs as bait.
