Build-a-Bear mania!

McDonald's had a build a bear promotion a few weeks ago with the purchase of a Happy Meal, and although I don't particular like when they eat the food, I did purchase and surprise Marissa at school with a Happy Meal on valentines Day, while Sierra enjoyed her meal at home. The Happy Meal included mini build a bears, which you can later take to the actual Build a Bear store and receive a mini outfit free for your mini bear.

I secretly purchase 2 additional bears, which you can buy for $1.60, which I gave them a few days later for being well behaved!

The mini bears which included the free outfits also included $10.00 coupons toward a $30.00 purchase, so during Marissa president day school holiday I took the girls to walnut creek and spent the afternoon at build bear! The girls packed their build a bear backpacks with their coupons and mini bears and as soon as we arrived the girls asked the store clerk for their free outfits! I can't really say I splurged on the girls that day, but they did come home with 2 smallfrys (a smaller bear than the actual size packaged in a french fry container), outfits for their new small frys, outfits for their small frys at home, outfits and ice skates for the 2 actual size stuffed bears and dogs at home! When I purchased the items, the sales clerk informed me that I had 2 $10.00 bearbucks on my account, and was able to use each of the girls $10.00 coupons from McDonald's, so our $60+ purchase only cost me $20! Now that's shopping!!!!
