Cookie Delivery!

Marissa's Daisy Girl Scout troop sold girl scout cookies in an effort to raise money for her troop to spend on crafts, badge work, activities and community service projects.

Brian's awesome efforts at work were a success, his colleges purchased 90 boxes of cookies! Marissa was very excited with the amount of sales and how quickly she was able to reach her goal. The Girl Scout organization also provides prize incentives to encourage girls to be entrepreneurs and more comfortable speaking to others! At the conclusion of cookie sales Marissa sold 250 boxes, selling door-to-door to our neighbors, friends via email, and at booth sales at Safeway, Raleys, and Wells Fargo. Marissa's Daisy troop sold a total of 820 boxes of cookies, which included 22 donations to the military troops overseas! The girls love Brian's office - they look at the window amazed with the view, and were entertained with the air conditioning unit which blew air in their face and hair! What better way to thank Brian's co-workers and visit them all in San Francisco at their office. Marissa walked office door-to-office door delivering the many cookie varieties. Just before our delivery, I took the girls for a walk in the financial district showing them where Brian and I use to meet for lunch when I worked at a nearby law firm, and treated them to lunch at an old favorite of mine YoYo's, a tiny Japanese eatery only open during the afternoon serving a array of noodles, and sushi made fresh daily! As I indulged on a bowl of soba noodles and tofu, Marissa enjoyed a bowl of steamed rice, and Sierra chowed down on edamae (soy beans). We sat near a fountain, which Brian and I use to sit, and enjoyed our lunch! Once we delivered our last box, Brian stayed at his office finishing-up his work, and I took the girls on the muni light rail to fisherman's wharf where we walked together window shopping, snacking on warm Mrs. Fields cookies, and a spin on the merry-go-round! I promised the girls I'd buy handmade owl hats which they had seen just before Christmas, so we walked toward Ghirardelli square to a small shop where 100's of hats are sold - it took the girls over 30 minutes to decide on a hat. The girls also found the most adorable hello kitty earmuffs - it was freezing in San Francisco that evening!! We ended our day meeting Brian and having dinner at our favorite Italian restaurant Tomasso's!
